Dublin Auto Shine Service Policies
Professional detailing requires time, preparation, and careful work. These policies help ensure every vehicle receives proper attention while maintaining clear expectations for both Dublin Auto Shine and our clients.
By scheduling a service with Dublin Auto Shine, you acknowledge and agree to the policies outlined below.
1. Appointment & Cancellation Policy
Scheduling Your Appointment
Appointments are scheduled in advance to ensure each vehicle receives the time required for proper detailing. Certain services require preparation, product allocation, and dedicated time slots.
Deposits for Advanced Services
A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required when booking specialty services such as:
- Paint Enhancement
- Paint Correction
- Ceramic Coating
Deposits secure the appointment and compensate for the time reserved specifically for your vehicle.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes to appointments. If less than 48 hours’ notice is given:
- The deposit may be forfeited
- Rescheduling may require a new deposit
This policy ensures fairness for other clients waiting to schedule appointments.
Late Arrivals
Clients arriving more than 30 minutes late may have their service shortened or rescheduled, depending on the day’s schedule.
2. Vehicle Condition & Preparation
Preparing Your Vehicle for Service
To help our team deliver efficient and safe detailing, vehicles should be prepared prior to service.
Personal Belongings
Please remove the following before your appointment:
- personal items
- valuables
- child seats
- loose electronics
- trash
Dublin Auto Shine is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items left inside the vehicle.
Biohazard Conditions
Vehicles containing the following must be disclosed before booking:
- mold contamination
- bodily fluids
- pet waste
- excessive organic waste
Such conditions require specialized sanitation procedures and may incur a Biohazard Cleaning Fee starting at $[Insert Amount].
In severe cases, service may be declined if the vehicle poses a health risk.
Mechanical Safety
Vehicles must be in a safe operating condition. Clients should notify us of any issues, including:
- weak battery
- brake issues
- electrical concerns
- leaking seals
- loose trim pieces
- aftermarket electronics
This allows us to work safely and avoid accidental damage.
3. Pricing & Service Scope Policy
Vehicle Condition May Affect Pricing
Detailing services are priced based on the average condition of the vehicle. Vehicles with excessive contamination may require additional time and specialized cleaning methods.
Examples include:
- heavy pet hair
- excessive mud or sand
- deep interior stains
- excessive trash or debris
- severe salt buildup
If additional work is required beyond the standard scope of the service, clients will be notified and approved before additional charges are applied.
4. Paint Enhancement & Ceramic Coating Policy
Understanding Paint Restoration
Paint enhancement and correction services significantly improve a vehicle’s finish, but they cannot safely remove every imperfection.
Expected Results
Machine polishing can remove a large percentage of surface defects, such as swirl marks and oxidation. However, deeper defects such as Random Isolated Deep Scratches (RIDS) may remain if they penetrate the clear coat.
Removing these defects completely may compromise paint thickness.
Pre-Existing Damage
Before any paint service begins, a vehicle inspection will be performed. Dublin Auto Shine is not responsible for pre-existing issues, including:
- rock chips
- clear coat failure
- repaint defects
- deteriorating trim
- failing window tint
These issues will be documented during the inspection process.
Paint Thickness Safety
Paint thickness gauges are used to measure the clear coat before correction.
If the paint is determined to be too thin, the service may be adjusted to a gloss enhancement or protection-only service to preserve the finish.
Ceramic Coating Curing Period
Ceramic coatings require a curing period of approximately 12–24 hours. During this time, the vehicle must remain dry and protected from water exposure.
If the vehicle is picked up before the recommended curing period, the coating’s longevity cannot be guaranteed.
5. Weather Policy (Mobile Services)
As a mobile detailing service, we must consider weather conditions when performing certain services safely.
Services may be rescheduled due to weather conditions, including:
- heavy rain
- freezing temperatures
- high winds
- severe storms
Rescheduling ensures service quality and prevents environmental factors from affecting the detailing process.
Clients will be notified as early as possible if weather conditions require adjustments.
6. Liability & Insurance
Professional Care with Reasonable Limitations
Dublin Auto Shine is fully insured and uses professional detailing techniques to protect every vehicle during service. However, certain conditions fall outside our responsibility.
Pre-Existing Conditions
We are not liable for damage resulting from:
- factory defects
- aging or brittle plastics
- deteriorated trim
- poorly executed previous repairs
- failing paintwork or window tint
These conditions may be revealed during the detailing process.
Engine Bay Cleaning
Engine bay cleaning is performed carefully using controlled techniques designed to protect sensitive components.
However, due to the complexity of modern electrical systems and aging wiring, clients assume all risk associated with engine bay detailing, particularly on older vehicles.
7. Payment Policy
Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise arranged in advance. Accepted payment methods include:
- cash
- credit cards
- debit cards
- digital payment methods
For larger projects such as ceramic coating or paint correction, the remaining balance is due when the vehicle is completed.
8. Satisfaction Guarantee
Our Commitment to Quality Work
Dublin Auto Shine takes pride in delivering careful and professional detailing services. Clients are encouraged to inspect their vehicle upon completion of service.
If a concern arises regarding the quality of work:
- It must be reported within 24 hours of service completion
- The concern must fall within the original scope of the service
If anything was missed during the detailing process, we will gladly correct it at no additional cost.
9. Photo & Marketing Consent
Dublin Auto Shine may photograph vehicles before and after service for documentation and marketing purposes.
Photos may be used on:
- the company website
- social media platforms
- marketing materials
Personal information and license plates will be obscured whenever possible.
Clients who prefer that their vehicle not be photographed may notify us before service begins.

These policies exist to maintain transparency, protect both the client and the vehicle, and ensure that every detailing service is performed with the time and attention it deserves.
